The Veterans Services Office, located in Enrollment Services, is staffed by veterans helping other veterans or military-connected students. The staff, therefore, have gone through the majority, if not all, of the processes required to obtain and use military benefits. The Veterans Services Office is responsible for providing assistance and information to veterans attending and/or planning to attend Northeastern. This includes but is not limited to helping a veteran apply for admission to the university, apply for and use federal and state benefits, as well as providing general, non-academic university advice.
Northeastern Illinois University is a public, four-year institution offering over 80 undergraduate and graduate programs. Many of our programs are specifically focused on adult and nontraditional students. Our Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (BAIS) program is a Service Members Opportunity College program, allowing for maximum transfer credit flexibility, although all of our programs accept transfer credits.
