Northeastern Illinois University accepts Advanaced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP) examination, and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for credit provided the minimum score for each examination is achieved.
Students who have successfully completed Advanced Placement exams may receive college credit for this work. Please refer to the Advanced Placement Transfer Guide for Information about the subjects and minimum passing scores. The guide is available online or at the Enrollment Services center.
Please send official Advanced Placement score reports to the Admissions Office for review. A maximum of 30 credit hours may be awarded for Advanced Placement exams. This credit is included in the maximum of 64 semester hours transferable from community colleges.

Requests for translation of a State Seal of Biliteracy are to be made to the Admissions Office by submitting the State Seal of Biliteracy Request form. The student must request this credit within three years of graduating high school. Students who receive the State Seal of Biliteracy will receive a total of 6 credits (lower division) of language study at Northeastern.
In order to have your examinations reviewed for possible credit, you must arrange to have your official AP or CLEP score report sent to the Admissions Office.
